SHADOWS AND BARS

Light projects sharp shadows when it strikes a straight surface. The shape of the shadow reflects the contours, or the object itself. These {visual effects are often employed in photography to create a prison sense of space. A well-positioned bar can manipulate the direction and intensity of a shadow, adding subtlety, to the overall composition.
